# Configuring credit auto-recharge

To configure auto-recharge

1. Click **Manage** in the **Auto-recharge** widget.
2. In **When credit balance goes below**, enter the balance that triggers a recharge.
3. In **Then bring credit balance back up to**, enter the target balance after recharge.
4. In **Limit total monthly spend to**, enter the maximum amount that can be charged for auto-recharges per period.
5. In **Spend limit resets every**, choose how often the spend limit resets.
6. In **Grant expiration**, choose how long auto-recharged credits remain valid.
7. Under **Payment method**, select the payment method used for auto-recharge purchases.
8. Save the settings.

<Note>
  If the monthly spend limit is set lower than the customer’s current spend for the period, auto-recharge will be disabled and no additional credits will be recharged until the limit is increased or the spend limit resets.
