# Base charge

Base charges are recurring fixed fees that customers are billed for during each billing period. Each plan can include only one base charge.

To add a base charge:

1. Enter the charge amount in US dollars for each available billing period.
2. (Optional) Define prices in other currencies later using Stigg’s [price localization](/documentation/price-localization/price-localization) capabilities.
3. Click **Add** to save the charge.
